T-Mobile has provided customers with the Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWifi) technology, also known as Wi-Fi Calling, which allows you to make voice calls and send/receive SMS/MMS by connecting to any available Wi-Fi network in Poland and abroad. The technology is particularly useful in places where, for various reasons, the operator's signal strength is limited, e.g. basements, buildings with very thick walls, or very far from base stations. Using a private or public Wi-Fi network, we can fully use the mobile services offered by the operator. Importantly, unlike the known applications and some solutions already tested on the market, VoWiFi from T-Mobile works natively, which means that it does not require the customer to install an additional application, and is free from the inconvenience of, among others, running a separate contact list or message.

In the case of going abroad, VoWiFi is a great way to reduce expenses, because when using a WiFi network, we do not incur any roaming costs when sending and receiving SMS/MMS and making voice calls. The service is completely free. VoLTE and VoWiFi are a modern way of making voice calls. No need to install email database additional apps on your phone. Quickly dial calls between VoLTE/VoWiFi users With (Voice over LTE) you can make calls in the highest quality, send and receive SMS and MMS using the coverage of the best LTE network in Poland (until now, LTE technology was used only for high-speed data transmission). With VoWiFi (Voice over WiFi) you can freely make calls using a wireless, any available WiFi network in Poland and abroad. Advantages of VoLTE and VoWiFi in T-Mobile At the same time, T-Mobile also implemented the Voice over LTE technology.

From the customer's point of view, it brings two most important benefits - faster connection setup and lower phone battery consumption. The latter is achieved by avoiding the so-called fallback, i.e. switching the phone from the LTE network to 3G, which occurs in any network that does not have VoLTE. Thanks to this, battery consumption can be reduced by up to several percent, depending on the number of calls made. Also, this technology is offered to customers completely free of charge. T-Mobile is the first operator in Poland and one of the first operators in the world to launch both technologies at the same time, which enables the handling of switching calls between WiFi networks and the operator's network called handovers.
